GERALD (GERRY) F. MINSKY After a lengthy illness, Gerry Minsky passed away in Saskatoon on January 5, 2006. Gerry was born in Coppercliff, ON and graduated from civil engineering at the University of Manitoba in 1971. He practiced his career as a professional engineer on many major construction projects in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northwest Ontario. Gerry loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing, but was surprisingly just as comfortable in a bridge tournament as in a duck hunting blind. Gerry left a wealth of friendships behind in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and across Canada. Gerry always made an effort to stay in touch with his friends and acquaintances, indicating the kind of person he truly was. If there was need for assistance in any manner for the people lucky enough to be in his circle of friends, no was not in Gerry's vocabulary. His kindness and generosity were steadfast regardless of the health problems that plagued him in the last 10 years of his life. Gerry's surviving family are planning a memorial service to be tentatively held is Coppercliff in the Spring. Those of us who knew him well wish to express our gratitude for the opportunity to have spent time with Gerry and we cherish the memories of friendship with this kind, gentle man. We celebrate your life, dear friend, and know that you are never far from our thoughts and our hearts.
